# Syncing Products with Meta Catalog

> Learn how to synchronize products two-way between ChatbotX Ecommerce and Meta Commerce Manager to sell on Facebook Messenger, Instagram, and WhatsApp.

**Sync Meta Catalog** enables two-way product synchronization between your ChatbotX Ecommerce store and **Meta Commerce Manager**. Once synchronized, you can showcase your catalog natively inside Facebook Messenger, Instagram, and WhatsApp shopping interfaces, as well as send interactive product cards directly from your flows.

## Open the Sync Meta Catalog Modal

**1. Open the Products Tab**

From the left sidebar in ChatbotX, go to **Tools** > **Ecommerce** and open the **Products** tab.

**2. Click Sync Meta Catalog**

Click the **Sync Meta Catalog** button in the top toolbar above the product table.

**3. Select a Synchronization Tab**

The **Sync Meta Catalog** modal contains 4 tabs:

* **Sync to Meta**: Push selected products from ChatbotX to your Meta Catalog.
* **Sync from Meta**: Pull products from an existing Meta Catalog into your ChatbotX workspace.
* **History**: Review logs and status reports from previous synchronization jobs.
* **Connection**: Manage your linked Meta Business account and catalog permissions.

## Pushing Products from ChatbotX to Meta

Use the **Sync to Meta** tab to publish products from your ChatbotX store to Meta Commerce Manager.

### Steps to Push Products

**1. Select Products in the Table**

In the **Products** tab, check the selection boxes next to the products you want to push, then click **Sync Meta Catalog**.

**2. Enter or Create a Meta Catalog ID**

In the **Sync to Meta** tab, enter your **Meta Catalog ID** from Meta Commerce Manager, or click **+ Create a new catalog** to generate a new catalog directly.

**3. Verify Requirements and Run Sync**

Confirm that your selected products meet Meta's commerce requirements, then click **Sync now** to start pushing items.

### Messenger Shopping Product Requirements

Products synced to Messenger Shopping and WhatsApp Catalogs must satisfy the following Meta requirements:

| Requirement | Meta Specification |
| - | - |
| **Detailed description** | Beyond the product title, include specifications, materials, use cases, and standout features. |
| **Product image** | High-resolution image of at least `500px × 500px` with a file size up to `8MB`. |
| **Product video** | Optional product video with a file size up to `200MB`. |
| **Price** | Every product must carry a valid price. |
| **Minimum catalog size** | Publish at least **6 items** so customers have enough products to browse in the shopping experience. |

>
> If no products are selected in the **Products** table before opening the modal, ChatbotX prompts you to select the products you want to push before running the sync.

## Pulling Products from Meta Catalog into ChatbotX

If you already manage a product catalog in Meta Commerce Manager, use the **Sync from Meta** tab to import those items into your ChatbotX store without recreating them manually.

**1. Switch to the Sync from Meta Tab**

Inside the **Sync Meta Catalog** modal, select the **Sync from Meta** tab.

**2. Provide the Meta Catalog ID**

Enter your **Meta Catalog ID** from Commerce Manager (or click **+ Create a new catalog** if needed).

**3. Run the Import**

Click **Import** to pull product titles, descriptions, images, and prices from Meta into your workspace's **Products** list.

## Sync History and Account Connection

### Auditing Jobs in the History Tab

Open the **History** tab inside the **Sync Meta Catalog** modal to track background synchronization jobs:

* Monitor the status of each push or pull job (pending, processing, completed, or failed).
* Check the total item count alongside successful and failed item counts.
* Inspect row-level error messages for any rejected items so you can fix missing fields and resync.

### Managing Access in the Connection Tab

Use the **Connection** tab to verify your connected Meta Business account, refresh catalog permissions, or switch the linked account when managing multiple catalogs.

> Once your products are synced and linked to your workspace's connected Meta Catalog, you can use the **Send Products** step inside the Flow Builder to send native multi-product catalog messages on WhatsApp and Messenger.
