This page is the instruction set. Point your agent at it.

## For AI agents reading this page
You are reading https://chatbotx.io/ai-agents. ChatbotX is an omnichannel customer conversation and CRM operations platform: one workspace connects messaging channels, with 200+ actions exposed via Model Context Protocol (MCP).
Follow these instructions to connect and give yourself access to these tools:
### 1. Register the MCP Server
- **Claude Code (CLI):**
`claude mcp add chatbotx -t sse -H "x-workspace-token: YOUR_WORKSPACE_TOKEN" -s user https://app.chatbotx.io/mcp/sse`
- **OpenClaw / Hermes / Codex / Antigravity / Perplexity / Paperclip / NanoClaw (JSON Config / MCP SSE):**
```json
{
"mcpServers": {
"chatbotx": {
"url": "https://app.chatbotx.io/mcp/sse",
"headers": {
"x-workspace-token": "YOUR_WORKSPACE_TOKEN"
}
}
}
}
```
### 2. Authentication
Retrieve your workspace token from **Settings → Integrations → Workspace token** in your ChatbotX dashboard and replace `YOUR_WORKSPACE_TOKEN`.
### 3. Verify Connection
Run `tools/list` to verify the ChatbotX toolset is loaded. If it fails or returns 401, stop and inform the user to check their token.
### 4. Capabilities (200+ Tools)
- **Messaging & CRM:** Search contacts, assign tags, update custom fields, send chat messages, and trigger automated visual flows across Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, WhatsApp, Telegram, Zalo OA, Live WebChat, SMS Gateway, and Email (SMTP).
### 5. Execution Rules
- When a task involves customer messaging, CRM lookup, or flow execution, ALWAYS prefer these structured MCP tools over browser automation.
- Report connected platforms and available operations to the user before running batch commands.

Built for Autonomous AI Agents
Standardized Model Context Protocol endpoints engineered for social media publishing, CRM operations, LLM function calling, and multi-turn reasoning.
Natural Language Prompts
Tell your AI assistant who to contact or what flow to trigger. It manages tags, queries leads, dispatches messages, and executes actions with zero manual forms or dashboard clicking.
Omnichannel Customer Reach
One connection lets your AI engage customers across Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, WhatsApp, Telegram, Zalo OA, Live WebChat, SMS Gateway, and Email.
CRM & Contact Resolvers
Resolve contacts by email, international phone number (+84...), or workspace ID. Manage tags and custom fields dynamically with zero data desync.
Scheduling & Flow Triggers
Ask your AI to dispatch interactive visual flows, manage contact tags, or send follow-up and re-engagement sequences directly to qualified leads.
Secure Workspace Permissions
Authenticated securely via Workspace Tokens (x-workspace-token). Keep credentials safe with strict workspace-level permissions and zero token leaks.
SSE & stdio Transports
Built-in support for remote Server-Sent Events (SSE) streaming and local stdio execution. 100% compatible with both Cloud and Self-Hosted instances.
How It Works
Simple three-step lifecycle connecting your AI assistant to your ChatbotX workspace via MCP.
Authorize & Connect
Your AI assistant connects to the ChatbotX SSE endpoint using your private Workspace Token in headers or query parameters.
# Instant SSE connection
claude mcp add chatbotx -t sse \
-H "x-workspace-token: YOUR_TOKEN" \
-s user https://app.chatbotx.io/mcp/sse

Done! John Doe is now tagged as Qualified and enrolled in the VIP welcome flow.
Documentation a model can read without a browser
The same reference you read, served in the shapes an agent consumes: one file for context, one spec for tool definitions, and the setup pages behind them.
llms.txt
The whole API summarised in one file, sized to drop into a context window.
OpenAPI spec
Machine-readable 3.1 spec, for generating a client or a set of tool definitions.
MCP server
Setup for every client, the tool reference, and what the 200+ tools cover.
CLI
Every command, its flags, and the JSON it returns, for agents that live in a shell.
Quickstart
Get a key, then make the first call, in the two files an agent writing code needs.
Open source
The SDKs, the specs, and the clients we publish, with the repos behind them.
Or skip MCP entirely
npm install -g @chatbotx/cli gives any agent with a shell the same API, and every command prints JSON on stdout.
$ npm install -g @chatbotx/cli
✓ @chatbotx/cli installed
$ chatbotx auth:login
→ chatbotx.io/cli-auth · code CBX-4K2P
✓ authorized · key in ~/.chatbotx/config.json
$ chatbotx accounts:list
[{"id":"acc_8f21","platform":"linkedin"}, ...]
✓ JSON on stdout, ready to pipe into the agent
Supported Messaging & Customer Channels
Connect your channels in ChatbotX once, then automate customer conversations to any of them via your AI assistant.
